2026-2027 Election Update
Nominations are now open for Chi Chapter and National Board positions.
WILS Chi Chapter Board Member & Committee Descriptions
Elections are held annually for the following positions. Additional board member positions include Past President which follows a term as President, and National Delegate which is a position appointed by the President for a two-year term.
Nomination forms and ballots are shared with chapter members in good standing each year in early summer for terms dating September 1 to August 31 each year.
President
Main Duties:
- Oversees all business and affairs of the Chapter.
- Presides over all Board members and Board meetings.
- Appoints committee chairs and National Delegate.
- Leads the Board in establishing the year's calendar, goals and objectives.
Pre-requisite: WILS Membership; at least one year of service on the Chi Chapter Board
Term: One Year
Finance Director
Main Duties:
- Maintains adequate and correct books of account showing revenue and expenditures of the chapter
- Performs general finance duties and retains documentation for deposits, revenue, invoices, payments, reimbursements, online transfers to and from the National organization, account reconciliation, budget preparation, and both National and monthly financial reporting.

Term: One Year
Program Director
Main Duties:
- Develops and plans chapter educational and social programs and events, including (at minimum) Annual Fall Installation Event, LeadHERSHIP and January conference social.
- Serves as Chair of the Program Committee.

Term: One Year
Membership Director
Main Duties:
- Promotes membership at both chapter and external events and programs.
- Conducts membership activities including maintaining accurate membership records, communicating with new members, communicating with members up for renewal, and recruiting new members.

Term: One Year
Outreach Director
Main Duties:
- Oversees all communication and marketing efforts for the chapter including managing social media outlets, sending emails, working with Membership Director to communicate to members, promotes chapter events and meetings.
- Serves as chair of the Outreach Committee.

Members of this committee help the Program Director plan and implement programs and events for the membership.

Members of this committee help the Outreach Director plan and implement marketing and communications initiatives.
